Help Save Our Historic Church at New London!

The Friends of New London are raising money for Phase I of the restoration of the historic African-American Church. This 1930 structure occupies a lot donated to the former congregation in the 1850s and is the third church constructed here. Money from Phase I will be used to repair and replace all of the wooden siding that can’t be salvaged and to paint the building’s exterior. This is a crucial first step to weather-proof the structure and prepare for restoring the interior. The goal is to use the museum to interpret African-American history in the village and perhaps to have church services here once again. FNL is a 501(c)3 organization.
